Justice for Women: Defending Freedom, Dignity & Human Rights Worldwide

Across the globe, women are unjustly imprisoned, persecuted, or silenced for acts as fundamental as speaking their truth, challenging patriarchal power, demanding equal rights, or simply living with autonomy. From political prisoners detained for activism, journalism, or protest, to women criminalized under misogynistic laws and discriminatory practices, the struggle for justice is urgent and universal.

Justice for Women brings together advocates, survivors, scholars, organizers, and global human-rights leaders to shine a light on the courageous women who defend freedom—often at unimaginable personal cost. This event centers the stories of women political prisoners and countless others who face state violence, gender-based repression, arbitrary detention, honor-based criminalization, and discriminatory legal systems.Through dialogue, testimony, and collective action, we will explore:

  • The global landscape of women political prisoners and the mechanisms used to silence them

  • How misogynistic laws—covering dress codes, guardianship, reproductive rights, movement, speech, and more—criminalize womanhood and autonomy

  • The role of community, advocacy networks, and international pressure in supporting imprisoned and persecuted women

  • Pathways toward legal reform, justice, and global solidarity

  • What each of us can do to fight gender-based repression and stand with women seeking freedom and dignity

Justice for Women is both a call to action and a tribute to resilience. By centering women’s voices, elevating lived experience, and highlighting collective resistance, this event seeks to inspire a global movement committed to ending gender-based oppression and ensuring that no woman stands alone in her fight for justice.

Join us as we honor their courage—and strengthen the global demand for freedom, equality, and human rights for all women.
